You don’t have to participate in every trend.
Trends are a HUGE part of online marketing nowadays as they drive traffic to your page and can generate new clientele, but do you have to do each and every one?
The answer is no. There is a new trend every 3-5 business days; if you are thinking too hard about an idea for a certain trend, then it might not make sense for you! And that is totally okay. If you can come up with an idea within that first week during the boom of the trend, go for it! If you are still struggling after that, I’d just pass on it. Stay true to your brand and only do what makes sense.
It might be hard to believe, but content for businesses is truly more focused on quality rather than quantity. Your audience wants to see the fun side of you and your brand, but they don’t want to be overwhelmed by your online presence. My suggestion? Post 3 times a week. Maybe even four, but no more. When you feel like you need to interact with your audience, post on your stories, ask questions and let them know you are still active. As I said before, trends come and go and not everything will make sense for your business, so these are way to stay relevant during those times where others are participating in trends.
